These works bear witness to the importance of the engraving trade between the 16th and 17th centuries, bringing the influence of the great Flemish painters to Galicia.
Life of Our Lady Series
One of the cycles is dedicated to the Life of the Virgin, made up of thirteen scenes that depict the iconic events of the Marian Cycle, from her birth to the Ascension.

As an example, the scene of the Flight into Egypt, where we can see a clear similarity in style to the works of Peter Paul Rubens, using the same model of representation and characters.
Like other works in the Sacristy's Marian Cycle that show the stylistic influence of Rubens, the Annunciation and Presentation of Mary.
Creed Series
The other pictorial cycle corresponds to the Creed series, which, in twelve works, depicts the main dogmas of the Christian faith. Using the Apostles' Creed, scenes such as the Creation, the Apocalypse and the Birth of Christ are depicted.

This series would show a certain influence of the artist Maarten de Vos, a leading Flemish painter of the 16th century, whose engravings were an inspiration in various places in Europe and America.

The Creed series was conceived to occupy the space where it is today, admitting a catechetical work, and reminding those preparing to celebrate the liturgy of the fundamental principles of the Christian faith.
