In collecting the antiques and objects as well as establishing the museum, it is absolutely necessary to have specialized knowledge. The Prince and Princess Chumbhot always consulted with the experts. As Prof. H.S.H. Prince Subhadradis Diskul wrote in the book of Things that interest me, in one part, "... M.R. Pantip considered herself without knowledge of archeology. Therefore, before buying anything, she often asked for the opinion of many people first ..."
Even in visiting the historical sites of the Prince and Princess Chumbhot, many times there were also many archaeological scholars such as Prof. H.S.H. Prince Subhadradis Diskul followed when they went to observe antiquities in Cambodia. In visiting the Phimai sanctuary, Muang Tam sanctuary, Phanom Rung sanctuary, Temple of Preah Vihear, and many other Khmer sanctuaries in Surin Province, Prof. Jean Boisselier, the expert French archeologist, accompanied them.
In addition, in the year 1970, the Princess also sponsored funds for 2 officials of the National Museum of the Fine Arts who had been selected by the Director of the Fine Arts Department to study the museum arrangement at the National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan, for 2 months to use the knowledge and experience gained to benefit both the government and Suan Pakkad Palace later.
