Ne kérdezd ki voltam - Készül a sztár

„Egyed a fölfedező.

A legnagyobb jövőt jósolom neki.” (Bajor Gizi)

Te vagy a fény – A mozicsillag

„Karády lett a Hunnia tájvidékén a felkelő nap, a magyar filmgyártók vágyálmainak kékmadara.

gyűrött kesztyű – A divatdiktátor

„Geiger-Gergely Pál formálta meg Karády külső megjelenését. Ő adta rá az egyéniségéhez illő fiús-férfias szabásokat, férfigallérokat, ő csinálta meg neki a kasha-nadrágos Krisztina királynő figuráját, merészen rávéve Karádyt az éppenséggel divatba bukkanó női nadrágdivat akkoriban még meghökkenést okozó napközbeni viselésére. Leginkább azért, hogy túl nagy lábait elrejtve fölszabadítsa mozgását.

Amikor a divatosra átformált Karády talpig elkészült, Geiger Pál úgy találta: jót tenne, ha széles karimájú kalap árnyékolná be arcát, ezzel is emelve megjelenése titokzatosságát. Elvitte Karádyt a korában divatos belvárosi kalaposnőhöz (Váci utca 22), a boldog házasságban elő Frank Irmához.

Nyilatkozat a Szabad Európa Rádiónak (1951)Hungarian Theatre Museum and Institute

Idegenben keserűbb a sírás – Emigrációban

Itt jobbra! Vigyázz, lassítás! stb.

Jó háromnegyed óra múlva még ketten csatlakoztak hozzájuk. Az ő számukra,  akik elől meneteltek, legalábbis úgy tűnt, mintha két árnyék vetődött volna a nyomukba.

Ezerkilencszázötvenegy február huszadika, kora este volt. […]

Csempészük értette a dolgát, jól ismerte a terepet. Nagy biztonsággal vezette őket. Igaz, magas árat is szabott.
